Luscious Training Academy was founded by Lynne Scott, who is the main educator.
Lynne is a multi-award winning nail technician and salon owner with over 13 years of experience in the industry whose aim is to promote and improve standards of excellence in the industry. It was noticed by Lynne that standards have been slipping in qualification courses, especially due to the boom in online courses during lockdown.
Lynne is a great believer in showing students in hands-on 1-2-1 training. You will have the full focus of your educator, rather than learning in a classroom environment. This enables any issues to be picked up on straight away and ironed out.
This is an exciting and fast paced industry to be part of which is continuously growing in popularity. Gaining a qualification in the nail and beauty industry can lead to either working on your own or in a salon environment.

Half day course

During this course you will be shown how to use the e-file efficiently, safely and correctly. We will cover the different types of bits and their uses. Using an e-file can dramatically improve the standard of your work and also reduce time on your nail services.
All equipment will be provided during the course.You will work on your own hand during this course, no models required.
You must hold a current nail qualification before completing this course. -

Gel Polish
1 day course

This course is suitable for beginners into the nail industry. This course will cover the basic preparation of the nail for gel polish, the correct application of gel polish and removal. We will cover full colour application and French polish application. The course also covers reception and consultation, contra-indications to treatment and aftercare advice.
Once qualified in this course you will be able to gain insurance and begin your career with gel polish.
All necessary equipment will be provided during the course. The price of the course includes a basic kit with everything you need to carry out a gel polish service. A lamp is not included in the price however, you can add this on if you wish. The products you will be trained with and included in the kit is The Gel Bottle.
A model will be required for this course. You will work on yourself and your model so you must both attend with nails free of any nail products or enhancements.

Nail Tips with Acrylic Overlay
2day course

This course covers how to complete extensions using tips and sculpting with acrylic as well as the maintenance (infills) and removal of the treatment in order to provide a full acrylic nails service. The course also covers reception and consultation, contra-indications to treatment and aftercare advice.
During the first day, we will cover all the perfect preparation and application procedures for overlays (over the natural length nail) and extensions using tips and sculpting, completed with a high shine finish. You will then attend after 1-2 weeks with your original model to be shown how to complete an infill (maintenance) and removal.
Once qualified in this course you will be able to gain insurance and further your career in the nail industry.
All necessary equipment will be provided during the course. The price of the course includes a basic kit with everything you need to carry out an acrylic service. The products you will be trained with and included in the kit is CJP Nail Systems.
A model will be required for this course. You will work on yourself and your model so you must both attend with nails free of any nail products or enhancements.
You do not need to have a previous nail qualification however, it is beneficial if you are already qualified in gel polish. -

Gel Nail Extensions

This course is for those who are currently qualified in the nail industry and looking to either trouble-shoot any issues they are having; for those looking to refine their skills or further improve their technique. It doesn’t matter how long you have been qualified for, it is always beneficial to re-evaluate your techniques and skillset. Upon enquiry, we can discuss what you are looking to gain from the time with Lynne and you will then be supplied with a quote.

If the educator feels you are not ready to be qualified after this duration, you will be called back for either further tuition or to show the knowledge you have gained is adequate before being qualified.
